Do I need my own Asterisk PBX?
Siperb works best when connected to your own on-site or hosted PBX. It doesn’t have to be Asterisk. Any SIP-based PBX will work. You can also connect to a TISP.
Can I connect to another service provider like Twilio or my own TISP?
Yes, you can. If your TISP does not support WebRTC (or DTLS-SRTP), then you need to transcode the media.
Does Siperb offer a mobile app?
Yes, we maintain a listing on both Android and Apple stores. Simply search Siperb.
Do you provide a browser extension?
Yes, you can simply search for Siperb, and install the browser extension. Please note: the extension does not provide the calling functionality, it only assists functionality of the Browser Phone.
Do you have a free option?
Yes, Siperb offers a Free SIP Proxy Service. Some of the more advanced features will require a paid account.
Does my own PBX have to be WebRTC enabled?
If you are connecting directly with us, then yes, otherwise connections are in UDP, and media can be (optionally) transcoded.
Is you code open source?
Yes, our core code and web output (/phone/) is free and open source on GitHub. The mobile apps, and the proxy service code is not.
Can I integrate the Softphone into my own CRM
Yes, the softphone works best when integrated via an IFRAME. There are various custom webhooks and a well documented API to assist with any integration requirements.
